Colorado Adult Soccer Association Referee Scholarship Application

The Colorado Adult Soccer Association is offering a limited number of scholarship's to individuals who want to become a USSF Referee and who are willing to work sanctioned CASA games.

Become a Referee

Thank you for your interest in becoming a US Soccer Federation, certified referee. The US Soccer Federation is a worldwide model for referee excellence in officiating, administration, instruction and development at all levels of the game. Your interest in officiating youth and amateur soccer games requires that you to become certified by the US Soccer Federation. Competitive and recreational youth leagues affiliated with the Colorado Youth Soccer (CYS) , and amateur leagues sanctioned by the Colorado Adult Soccer Association (CASA) require officials to the US Soccer Federation certified.

Your first step is to choose an upcoming class to attend. Once you complete a class you can begin your referee career right away

Upcoming US Soccer Federation Entry Level Referee Class

Entry Level Grade 8 Referee - (17 Classroom hours). This entry level certification will allow you to work appropriate level recreational, competitive, youth and adult games as the center referee or assistant referee. This certification will provide you with the "most opportunity" as an entry level referee. It is suggested (but not a requirement) that you be age 14 or older. To successfully complete the course you must attend the full 17 hours and pass the written referee exam of 100 questions with a 75% or higher. Fee for this course is $75.00. The Colorado Adult Soccer Association will sponsor a limited number of individuals for this class; free of charge. (Does not include referee gear, or recertification's, or equipment)

2. Include a writen an essay of 100 words on why you should be considered for this award and why you want to be a referee.

3. You must be a 2010/2011 Player registered in the Colorado Adult Soccer Association.

5. Awards will be made as approved.
